about

Medicinal Is the first single from our new album “View From The Chandelier” The song gives the sentiment of not being able to trust your own mind anymore after years of abuse and chasing instant gratification and pleasure. Medicinal thoroughly captures the vibe of the band’s new found line-up as we move on from a 5 piece to a trio. The song was written and recorded in Omaha, NE by Michael Hulstein.

lyrics

Maybe I trust myself
A little more than I should
So I'll try walking away
To see if I even could
Well they say some things are better left unsaid
So tough to learn
With my foot in my mouth again

They wanna reconcile
To save that face
It may take a while
But that’s ok
When you burn every bridge you’ve ever had
Got no place to stay
Just your foot in your mouth again

Do I look stupid?
With my mouth to the floor
I’d suck the fuel from the ground
If only I knew it was medicinal

So sick of watching the paint
It never seems to dry
They wanna keep me away
Their prerogative to try
That's the price we pay for living in the States
Better watch what you say
You got your foot in your mouth again

Do I look stupid?
With my mouth to the floor
I’d suck the fuel from the ground
If only I knew it was medicinal
